Shares Dealing

Unlike derivatives trading, shares stocks or equity trading allows the trader to purchase and sell shares, Share Dealing. The trader therefore pays for the underlying share rather than speculates on its likely direction.

If a trader buys a share in a company, he or she therefore owns a percentage of that company's ownership. So how is profit made? Quite simply: if the company performs well, the shareholder receives some of that profit. The shareholder receives dividends – this is a proportion of the profit of the company.
